His (Buddha’s) son one time packed all his things and went to sleep in the toilet, because he had to give his room to some new monk coming or some elderly monk who came, (Right.) who had no room. So, the Buddha didn’t have any favorite monk, not even His own son. (Right, yes.) But later because of good discipline and pure teachings, His son became one of His foremost successors after others. (Wow.) I think one of the ten successors of the Buddha, after the Buddha’s Nirvana.

This world – the whole world is an illusion anyway, but we are bound with invisible chains not to recognize it. Only enlightened Masters recognize it. Anytime, They know it’s an illusion, but They’re hanging in there just to help others to get out. (Yes, Master.)

It’s just like you’re above kindergarten, but you are a kindergarten teacher, then, where would you go? Where? (Kindergarten.) Yeah. And be with whom? (The kids, the children. You don’t really progress. That’s where you stay.) Yeah. And you play with plastic cars. (Right.) And with little dolls with them, right? (Yes, toys. Little toys.) And you talk baby-talk with them. (Exactly.) That’s what it is. (Right.)

So those are some of the criteria for anyone to be able to at least discard some of the rough, the coarser elements or character of any of your teachers – your future teacher, or your trusted teacher. You have to find a teacher that you can trust your life with, absolutely. So that even if he told you to die, you die. (Yes. Yes, Master.) That’s it. But of course, the Masters don’t do that. In the old times, they might have done that, to test disciples. (Right.)

In modern times also, in the autobiography of Master Yogananda, (Yes.) He also told the story of Babaji, who told one of the seekers that found Him, He said, “Oh, OK. If you really have faith, then just jump down there and die.” (Yes.) He did jump. And the Master rescued him back. (Yes, that’s right.) And also, Babaji burned the hand of one of His disciples, right in front of everyone else. (Yes.) And when one of His disciples there asked why He did that – it’s very cruel, He said, “Better than he will burn in hell for a longer time.” (Yes, that’s right.) And in the Bible, it says, “If your eye gives you trouble, pluck it out, rather than you be condemned in hell.” (Yes. That’s right.)

Similar. And the Buddha treated His son just like everyone else, maybe even more strictly. His son, he was very young – not even a teenager… a teenager, I guess. Of course, teenagers, they don’t listen to their parents that much. And he argued with the Buddha, and the Buddha scolded him a lot – (Right.) told him, “You do this, do that, you’re not good, and then you will be like a basin that people wash their feet with, not worthy of anything else.” And His son one time packed all his things and went to sleep in the toilet, because he had to give his room to some new monk coming or some elderly monk who came, (Right.) who had no room. So, the Buddha didn’t have any favorite monk, not even His own son. (Right, yes.) But later because of good discipline and pure teachings, His son became one of His foremost successors after others. (Wow.) I think one of the ten successors of the Buddha, after the Buddha’s Nirvana. (Yes.) I talk a lot more than anything that you asked.

Anything else you are curious about? If I could, I answer, of course. (Yes, there is something good to share. Sometimes there are some very beautiful sunsets with brightly colored clouds, which can be seen for quite a while. This gives a feeling that there is something good going on. Is there anything You can share about this?) There’s some secret but… Wow, you are a lucky guy. You even have time to watch the sunset. (Well, not really. But sometimes we notice that.) By the way, huh? (Yes.) And when you go out, take a breath. (Yes.) Whenever I go out, even just in the garden, I don’t go anywhere and rarely go in the garden, I take photographs whenever I can. Before, more often, because I was freer. Before, I didn’t do retreats, so I went out in the yard, and took photographs of the sunsets. (Yes, Master.)

Well, I’m telling you something. (Oh, wonderful. Thank You.) Many people say, “Oh, Master, why don’t You come to our country? And sometimes You come but we don’t know. How do we know You are there?” I say, “Well, you sometimes look into the sky, OK?” (Oh. Wow. Really?) Yes. Sometimes the Master comes and the Master’s image is imprinted on the sky very specifically. It looks like a person – color and face and all that. (Wow.) And if my dog-person, Good Love also appears in a similar place, then he is there. (Oh, wow. Oh, that’s amazing.) Or a double golden rainbow that lasts a long time, (Oh, wow.) or some very colorful picture in the clouds – (Yes.) very special, not just normal – (Yes.) then Master is very likely to be there in either astral manifestation body, light body or physical body. (Oh, wow. Wow.)

If it is physical, then it very much resembles the person – the physical being. (Wow.) If not, then many other phenomena like special, colorful Moon, colorful Sun, colorful sunset, or it seems like standstill Moon… all kinds of things. But people don’t look up. Too busy. (Yes.) Yes. But She will appear in your house, or in your car anyway – but you never see, often not. Some people do see. You know, you saw it. Sometimes they write it down and let others know. (That’s right. Yes.) But sometimes I tell them, “Better keep it quiet.” (Yes. True.) But that doesn’t mean it’s your case or anything. I’m just saying in general. (Yes, yes.) Like, you are blessed with the presence of the Master, or some very high- dimensional Being. But mostly, if you’re connected with any Master, then that is the sign. (Right. Oh, wonderful. Cool. Thank You for sharing that, Master.)

Good luck that you still can look at the sunset. I don’t have any more time nowadays. (Yes.) I was thinking to tell you the other day that, “Oh, I would have loved to watch a sunset, or go to the riverside, play on the sand, walk on the sand barefooted, and all that stuff.” But I never told you. (Oh.) But I can tell you that I love my life. I love it so much that I have to chase the internet day and night. I love it when I order something, and then it comes out as something else which I don’t need. I love so many things – that my work doesn’t always run smoothly. I love that I have to keep running often for my safety. I love it that I love my bird-, my dog-people, but I cannot be around them, for example. I love all this life, love it so much. (Oh, Master.) Can’t even go anywhere. Working so hard, being alone. I love my life. That’s all I can tell you. Sunset and all that, forget it. (Oh, Master.)

The other day I was editing one of the shows that your brother sent me. (Yes.) And I saw Taiwan (Formosa). And they had the video or image of the place where I was before, when I lived in a cave in Hao Tsa. It looked like Hao Tsa. They were talking about Paiwan and, oh, my heart just sank. (Oh.) It sank down to the bottom of my stomach. (Oh.) I just wanted to run right away. Oh, my heart just jumped with joy, and I just wanted to pack and go there again. (Oh, Master.) Really, I could not concentrate, to work continuously with the work at hand. I was so excited, so happy, so… all kinds of thinking. So sad, so happy, so excited, so longing to go there again, to that place. (Yes, Master.) It affected me so much that I could not concentrate for a long time. (Wow.) I had to stand up, go away from the computer, and walk around the room. Walk in a circle and try to calm down. (Wow. Oh, Master. Nostalgic.) Yeah, yeah. But I normally don’t miss any country anywhere, actually. (Yes.) Just I miss that lifestyle that I had. (Yes.)

When I didn’t have a lot of so-called disciples, we went sometimes to the mountain and camped with just a tent. (Yes.) And we took the water from the river or we dug a hole next to the river in the sand, so that the water in that hole is cleaner than in the river. No kind of garbage or anything. Then we filtered it with cloth and then we cooked. Just simple food, maybe just dry noodles with some soya sauce or something, or some vegetables that maybe we brought with us. (Yes.) Very little portions because we had to walk. I remember three sections of a river, just like crossing three rivers in order to arrive at that isolated, remote area. You can’t go there anymore now. (Oh.) It’s already under government control. When you go there, you have to ask permission. It’s not like before. (I see. Wow.)

Before, there was a village up there. We didn’t go to the village. We just stayed in the wilderness, at the bank of the river. A little bit higher, because I worried that when the rain comes, the river might swell up and harm us. (Right, yes.) So I instructed all of them to camp on the higher side of the hill. (Right.) And I picked the edible wild things that I know that can be eaten, and we boiled them. And we ate with noodles or rice because they are easier to bring in. They won’t go bad. And then we roasted potatoes that we bought from the highland people’s village. (Yes.) They just loved us, we never said anything. (Wow.) And we also bought some of these sweet potato leaves, then we could boil, we could eat. They’re all very nutritious. (Oh, yes. Wow.) And I would go and pick some of the sprouts that were falling from these, I think, acacia trees or something. (Yes.) It’s a very tall tree, but they have a lot of seeds dropping around it, so a lot, a lot of sprouts. And also, you can eat the leaves and the fruit of that tree. The fruit is very flat when it’s green. (OK.) And when it’s dry, it becomes brown and the seeds fall off around it. Oh, a lot, a lot of sprouts. And I went to pick all these edible things and mushrooms or some other wild vegetables, and together with the things we bought from the village, some little things, and then we would just eat like that.

We were so happy. We sang every day, made theater, stupid nonsense (That sounds wonderful!) using ash, and charcoal powder to put on the face to do makeup to play theater. (Wow.) It was a very happy time. Everybody was happy. We didn’t have a lot of food, had very little money, but we were very happy. (Yes. Sounds nice.) But then, we had to always come back. It’s easy. You just go in the river, take a shower, take a bath and then wash and put your clothes on the stone, and then wear them afterward. Two pairs are enough always. (Yes.) And just a tatami in the tent, that’s it. (Wow.) Or outside the tent. Over there, I never slept in the tent, except when it rained too hard. I slept outside and mosquitoes or anything never came to me. Never. (Wow.) And nowadays, they go and find me anywhere. (Oh, gosh.)

A long time ago, when I was somewhere talking with a group or something, they always had mosquitoes biting them. I said, “Oh, move, move to a little bit in front here, next to me. There are no mosquitoes here.” And they moved. They still moved with them, but they didn’t come to me. (Oh. Wow.) And nowadays, if I go out, it will be like a charitable restaurant for them. (Oh, gosh.) Too much karma nowadays, too much. (Oh dear, Master.)

Alright, anything else or… (I think that’s it, Master, for now.) That’s good. (Yes.) I wanted to ask you to help check something and then we came to all this. I will ask you after this. Alright. OK then, God bless. (OK. Thank You, Master. God bless, God protect Master always.) Thank you, same to you, God shield, God bless, God love. (Thank You, Master.) I’ll talk to you next time. (OK, Master.)
