Banana smoothies act as a natural sleep aid, improving sleep quality through high levels of tryptophan, magnesium, and potassium. These nutrients boost serotonin and melatonin production while promoting muscle relaxation. Experts suggest avoiding added sugars to maximize health benefits, allowing the fruit’s natural sweetness to provide a soothing mental effect that helps the body drift into restorative deep sleep (Lao Động)
Strong glute muscles boost longevity and prevent falls by improving balance and stability. Experts warn that prolonged sitting weakens these muscles, causing back and knee pain. Strengthening through squats and deadlifts protects joints and supports independent living. Maintaining glute strength is essential for healthy aging, as it reduces injury risks and ensures long-term mobility for older adults (Channel News Asia)
A Swedish study finds that gaining weight between ages 17 and 29 significantly increases premature death risks. Early obesity raises the likelihood of chronic diseases, emphasizing the urgent need for early prevention and healthier environments (EurekaAlert)
Cyclone Maila batters the Solomon Islands with 185 kilometer-per-hour winds, forcing around 120 to seek shelter and causing widespread damage to residences, schools, and medical centers (The Guardian)
Scientists from China’s Aerospace Information Research Institute report that groundwater across High Mountain Asia, including the Tibetan Plateau, is declining at about 24.2 billion tons per year due to climate change and human water use. This region—often called Asia’s “water tower”— supports hundreds of millions of people, and continued depletion could increase risks to agriculture and water security if current trends persist (SciTech Daily)
A severe drought in Ethiopia threatens vital myrrh trees, endangering global perfume supplies and local livelihoods. Failing rains reduce resin output and put fragile ecosystems at risk (AP)
Humane World for Animals UK is touring Scotland [UK] with a life-size animatronic pig-individual in a farrowing crate to highlight the confinement of mother pig-folks, urging politicians to ban these cages as polling shows 84% of Scots oppose them; about half of Scotland’s 25,600 mother pig-individuals are still kept in crates for up to five weeks per birth cycle (The Canary)
Campaigners say the UK’s Network Rail accidentally sealed several long-used swift-individual nesting holes during a £7.5 million viaduct refurbishment in Derbyshire [UK], leaving returning bird-folks at risk of injuring themselves as they try to reach their blocked nests and prompting calls to reopen the holes before the breeding season amid a national 66% decline in swift-individuals between 1995 and 2022 (The Guardian)

Previously in Part 1 of 2 of Lee Papa’s near-death experience, American mindfulness coach Lee’s spirit left her body as a week-long illness brought her to the threshold of death and entered a realm of Light, where two Light beings explained she was free to go. She experienced a profound relationship review and was ready to move on. But the Light beings had more to show her.
And so these Light beings said to me, well, there’s still something else that you need to know. This being, your child, is a very young soul in this incarnation — right, almost three years old — losing his mother at such a young age will be so devastating to him, which apparently had happened to this soul before in previous lives, will be so devastating that he will not be able to fulfill his desired destiny. And with that, they asked if I would feel the feeling of the loss of his mother — so of what he would experience at the loss of his mother at such a young age. And with that, I felt this extraordinary pain. And I described it as shards ripping through your soul. You would not wish this kind of pain on anyone, not an enemy, much less someone you love, much less your child. And after the near-death experience, for months — easily six months to a year — I couldn’t describe this to anyone without bawling my eyes out. It was that visceral. So, of course, the Light beings did their job well, and so I agreed, and I said, “I will come back and be this beautiful Light’s mother, and I will do the work of the Light.”
But with that, I was back in my body. I was sitting up. I didn’t know what had happened. I was, I would say, 95-plus percent better. I was on my deathbed, and now I was sitting up, and I was in a stupor. And everything was radiant; everything was glowing and beautiful. And when I say everything, I mean inanimate objects. I don’t know how much time I lost just looking at the door, and the hinges, and the doorknob, and everything just had a glow or a residue about it. I was different. I was blissful and happy, and I didn’t know what to do with this.
When her husband returned from his retreat, she told him everything. And it wasn’t hard to read his mind, but that was one of the gifts that came — an extra sensory ability, actually, many that came with it. But I knew that he didn’t believe me. And the beauty of it was that the contrast was telling me it didn’t matter. It didn’t matter. It was the most profound experience of my life, and it was extraordinary, and I touched a world that was more real than what we experience here, and no one was going to tell me otherwise that it wasn’t real, because I know it was. And so it changed my life as far as putting me on a trajectory of doing the work for what I would call the Light, and mothering my child into adulthood, which I have done blissfully. Lee now teaches mindfulness and coaches others. She closes with an excerpt of a channeled message she received from a being named Joseph.
“Love enters us from a well of existence that is streaming from the natural source. We do not own it. It flows freely and is given with no requirement or judgment of its use. It is the life force of all Creation. I am here to tell you that this life force runs through each and every one of you, and each and every one of all living beings in the Cosmos. If you could glimpse, for just one moment, the purity of the Light of all existence — the same moment that we allowed Lee to experience, and to draw upon for her strength in her journey as she continues to expand into the being that she already is — it would most definitely change you. The worry and the fear that penetrate every layer of your current existence would vanish like a streak of lightning in the night sky. It would melt all the worry and the darkness from your hearts, and fill you with the Light of love for all mankind. You see, the strength that is the you that you do not know is just below the surface, to be uncovered by you. This is the journey, you see. It is the unveiling of the shell that you have encrusted upon yourself in darkness, so that you can see again. The world is your playground, your playhouse, your school. Do not seek to find what is already within you. The path to the enlightened is with you.” (The Other Side NDE)
