In this series, we explore the story of Luna, a wise and compassionate 1,500-year-old redwood elder via Yaya (vegan), a telepathic plant and animal-person communicator from Taiwan (Formosa), who highlights the profound connection between redwoods, and Mother Earth.

We asked Yaya if Luna likes her name. Yaya shares Luna’s response. “Yes, I like the name that was given by people, Luna. It’s a beautiful name. Moon is all tree people’s dearest friend.” “We redwoods are a very special species on this planet. We connect with Mother Earth so deeply, so we don’t address each other by name. We recognize each other by our personalities. My people call me Beauty because I have the essence of beauty from Mother Earth.” “All the tree people are a very peaceful family. We are here to protect Mother Earth. We are here to help the humans and animals. We are a peaceful family.”

“I felt that I’m losing my family, dying one by one. They’re getting chopped down, but their hands are holding together and they’re crying, they’re shouting, and they’re screaming.” She said, “I don’t remember seeking help for myself, but I did call out for help to the Moon, the Sun, the Earth, Heaven, and to God, pleading, ‘Please stop!’”

Our Beloved Supreme Master Ching Hai (vegan) has shared Her wisdom on Nature’s spirits and the importance of respecting and loving all beings in our surroundings. “Trees have spirit, even a stone has spirit. So the mountains can talk to you. The trees will tell you. Look at the trees with love and reverence. Touch the plants with gratitude and admiration. Everything around us is from the Divine and is a part of the Divine; not just human beings, not just animal[-people]. Be reverent with all things.”

Tree people, like Luna/Beauty, can also be incredibly wise and poetic. Luna/Beauty expressed something beautiful, like a poem, which we’ve titled, “We are a Family,” and conveyed by Yaya. Let’s enjoy it!
