In a tea farming village, there lived a physician known for his miraculous healing ability; yet he had no cure for his pain. One day he met Hương, a dutiful and gentle girl who came to ask for his help. This predestined meeting, eventually led them on a spiritual path to liberate themselves from all sorrows and to find the meaning of life. We now invite you to join us for Part 1 of the drama “The Physician Who Heals With Conditions.” “Where do I go to find the simple joy Like the sunflowers seeking sunlight; like a drought yearning for a shower. Where do I go to find that peaceful realm Where happiness never fades, where the moon and stars welcome me with a loving smile Who knows, whom shall I ask? I asked the drifting evening cloud I asked the gentle breeze I asked the forest orchid Do you know, my dear? Where do I go to find that peaceful realm?” “It’s been my practice to heal anyone, but there’s a condition.” “Please go ahead.” “I have but one son... If you would accept to marry him...” “I accept.” “Father, I can’t accept this. You promised your master that you only ask people to do charity work to benefit others, but never for selfish reasons.” “At that time, I only thought of you; I didn’t think of anything else.” “But...we can’t give out such conditions, father! I regret this a lot.” “But...once I give out a condition, it’s irrevocable.” THREE MONTHS LATER... “Father... I am very grateful to you that my mother’s healthy again!” “Because of this incident, I’ve thought of a perfect proposition- that is, people must promise to be vegan.” “You must be vegan, all right!? Then they will get less sick, and you don’t have to work so hard.” “Thanks to you and brother Hân that I learned about the compassionate vegan lifestyle.”
