“In Hosea 2:18, it states, [...] And so, that verse is really about: Jesus will come back, and then we’ll all be vegan again. The animals will lie in safety. No more meat-eating, no more harming animals. We’ll all be immortal again.” In “I Will Abolish the Bow,” Matthew King introduces New Earth Abolition (NEA). “So, the New Earth is basically where humans and animals are immortal, and we live in paradise once more. I took the concept of the New Earth and what it looks like, and I created New Earth Abolition.” “The three principles I came up with New Earth Abolition was equality, service, and harmony. [...] And then harmony, I derived from Isaiah 11:6-9, which is a prophecy about how humans and animals will live in harmony after Jesus returns.”

Mr. King’s latest book, “Pride Goes Before Destruction: Human Vanity, Animal Agriculture, and the New Covenant Solution,” focuses on the animal-people livestock-raising industry and its consequences. “And what I noticed was the Bible actually offers a solution to that pride. And so there’s this stipulation of the New Covenant that we should be bringing safety and not harming animals anymore. And then there’s a lot of extra biblical evidence of that as well. Of Jesus’ apostles, they all abstain from meat. All of His followers abstain from meat.” “Probably the best thing I could say is that animals are important to God. And that’s something that has historically been very much marginalized. ‘And that’s really what dominion means. It means to compassionately care for others.’ And so my books very much support this idea that humans have really abused that privilege, and we’ve become tyrants instead of God’s compassionate caretakers of the animals.”
