Ensure the learning environment always has adequate lighting. 3. Maintain a safe distance between eyes and screens. 4. Limit the total time spent using electronic devices. 5. Encourage children to play outdoors in natural light. 6. Perform regular eye exams to detect issues early. (VnExpress)

Previously in Parts 1 and 2 of Landon Dennis’ near-death experience, American former heroin addict Landon described overdosing, finding himself above an ambulance as paramedics worked on his body, and then suddenly standing in a vast green field, where even the grass seemed to love him.
From behind a hill, he felt the presence of his deceased grandpa and niece as beautiful Lights. Then a young woman and a young man appeared, communicating through emotions and shared experience. They showed him one of his darkest nights behind a restaurant dumpster — homeless, searching for food, and ready to end his life — when a sudden, unseen embrace filled him with peace.
And they showed me this moment as if it was a vision, not like TV, but as if it was something I could step into and feel those feelings I felt again for a moment. And I saw these Lights, just like the Lights that were coming up from behind that hill. I saw these Lights come down, like a beam to me, and hit me. And I just saw these dark wispy [things] — they didn’t have a form, but many, many dark things just boom fled. And I saw that, and I know those were prayers. But the people who took time to pray for me during those times, they didn’t know that their prayers were working. They prayed for me — my family and loved ones, and friends — because they didn’t know where I was. They were terrified, and so they prayed. Those two people showed me this moment in my past where those prayers came and saved my life, and the people who prayed for me didn’t know that that happened — but their prayers worked. The vision silenced the doubt Landon still had about prayer. Then, as suddenly as it had begun, the experience ended.
And as I’m talking up there with them, they’re communicating with me all these amazing things that comfort me here on Earth, that I don’t know how I can get by without them, I get this rush — imagine a tidal wave coming over me of just, “I love yous.” And it wasn’t just my grandpa and niece this time. It was all those colors behind that hill. It hit me again, like the hug, and there weren’t any goodbyes. It was just, “I love you. I’ll see you again.” And boom, I’m back above my body. I’m in this operating room with lights. I’m on a table, and they were doing brain surgery. When he returned above his body, all the peace he had felt was gone, replaced by the same crushing anguish as before.
I thought I was going to explode. And I heard that woman’s voice that was up there with me, and she just said, “Landon, it’s time.” And I remember kind of being confused for a second, and she said it a second time, “Landon, it’s time.” And all of a sudden, I just opened my eyes, and I saw these dark wispy things fly out of the room, just like behind that dumpster, just take off.
Landon later learned that, after surgery, his first words to his wife were a request for his father to give him a priesthood blessing — a blessing that nothing would remain in the room to hinder his recovery or hurt him spiritually or physically. He believes that blessing was what finally freed him. He survived brain surgery against the odds, with one of the top neurosurgeons in the region happening to be in St. George that very day for a training. His recovery was described by hospital personnel as miraculous. He had to relearn to walk and speak, but recovered faster than patients with comparable injuries — some of whom died or suffered permanent damage.
Somehow, I’m here, and I’m not going to waste this life. I’m not going to waste this message and this miracle that I was given and not at least share it with others to give hope. How greedy of me would that be, to keep this message to myself if I were able to come back to this Earth and still talk and walk and help others?
I know that our loved ones are watching over us. And if we pray to our Creator for help, they can help us. And I know that you’ll see your loved ones again. And I know that what you do in this life matters. Don’t think that you can just do whatever you want in this life with no consequences. Because the way I like to look at it is, I can do everything I can in this life, for the benefits of the afterlife, or the life after this life, and I will see my loved ones again. I already have. So I’m telling you, from a first-person thing, I’ve seen them. I saw them again. I felt them. Anybody out there missing someone — you will see them again.
After what he experienced, Landon says prayer does not have to be complicated. For him, it became an anchor — a real connection with the Creator, joined with gratitude and helping others. There’s no wrong way to pray. I pray like I’m talking to my best friend. Sometimes I pray on my knees. Sometimes I’m walking through a crowd, or I just wake up, and I pray. Our Creator just wants that connection with us. And take a moment out of each day to even think of one thing you’re grateful for. So, try to find your anchor, and try to focus on how you can help others — because that’s how I’m staying out of my drug addiction, is by getting out of myself and trying to speak and help others. And they’re such small acts. In a 24-hour day, those small acts could take minutes, but if they could change your life, isn’t it worth it? (Anthony Chene production)
